In order to assess erectile dysfunction or Peyronie's disease, injection therapie in conjunction with doppler ultrasound is used. A vasoactive substance like Alprostadil is injected into the corpora cavernosa of the penis and the in- and outflow of blood examined by doppler ultrasound while an erection is forming.
