Internship/Training

Our Central Library offers training/ internship programme to the students and fresh graduates of Library and Information Science courses. We welcome all interested students/ fresh graduates of Library and Information Science of any recognized Indian universities/institutes to undergo internship and training programme at our Central Library.

Internship Programme*

  • Open for all interested students pursuing Library and Information Science from any recognised University/Institute.
  • First preference would be given to the students pursuing Library and Information Science from Department of Library and Information Science, Central University of Haryana.
  • The duration of Internship is up to two months or as required by the schools of Library Science .
  • To apply, students may submit hand-written application to the University Librarian, Central University of Haryana through proper channel. As supplementary documents, the following documents are required: two latest passport size photographs, self-attested copies of Identity card, Aadhar Card, mark sheets of MLISc or previous semesters.
  • No stipend and no accommodation facility is provided.
  • Students successfully completing the Internship Programme shall get a Certificate.

Training Programme

  • Open for all interested fresh graduates (within the age limit 26) of Library and Information Science from any recognised University/Institute.
  • First preference would be given to the fresh graduates of Library and Information Science, Department of Library and Information Science, Central University of Haryana.
  • The duration of Training Programme is up to six months only.
  • Application may be submitted throughout the year.
  • To apply, a hand-written application and a CV comprising at least two references of library professionals/teachers may be submitted by hand/post. As supplementary documents, the following documents are required: CV, two latest passport size photographs, self-attested copies of Identity card, Aadhar Card, declaration no legal proceedings, final mark sheet/ convocation certificate of MLISc.
  • Applications should be submitted well in advance as processing of application, approval and confirmation may take a lot of time.
  • No stipend and no accommodation facility is provided for Trainees.
  • Candidates successfully completing the Training Programme shall get a Certificate.
  • Our Library shall also assist in placements.
