I used solid 2-inch KERDI-BOARD then added two 1/2-inch pieces. Thin-set bonds them to the subfloor, walls, pan, and each other. The curb is level left to right but pitched slightly toward the shower. This promotes water drainage. Ultimately I waterproofed everything using KERDI-BAND along with KERDI-KERECK prefab corners
