Struggling with standing calf raises? Build up your calf strength first with seated calf raises. Watch one of our Personal Trainers do a seated calf raise here. 1. Sit on the edge of a chair or bench with your just under hip-width apart, toes facing forward. 2. If using them, rest a dumbbell on each thigh just above the knee.  3.
