This shrimp and pesto puff pastry calzone recipe is a must-try! 🔥
Ingredients:
16 oz. Omaha Stekas Wild Argentinian Red Shrimp
3 Tbsp. Omaha Steaks Signature Seafood Seasoning
16 oz. shredded mozzarella
10 grape tomatoes, sliced in half
1 puff pastry sheet
2 egg yolks
Pesto:
1 large bunch spinach
1 bunch basil
8 oz. Parmesan cheese
1 1/2 cups extra virgin olive oil
6 garlic cloves
5 oz. walnuts or pine nuts
1 Tbsp. salt
1 Tbsp. pepper
Directions:
1. Season shrimp with seafood seasoning and sear on high 1 minute per side.
2. Set shrimp aside and make the pesto. Add all the pesto ingredients on the list above and blend until smooth.
3. Roll out one puff pastry sheet and add mozzarella cheese, pesto, shrimp, and tomatoes in the center.
4. Pastry edge cut strips and braid your calzone.
5. Egg wash on the puff pastry to get a golden brown color.
6. Cook in a Pellet Smoker or oven at 425°F for 45 minutes and ENJOY!
