Police officer and former celebrity hunter Beau Lamarre-Condon has been formally charged with the murders of Jesse Baird and Luke Davies, as homicide detectives continue a widespread search to find the missing bodies of the Sydney couple.
Constable Lamarre-Condon, the ex-partner of Mr Baird, had been arrested in Bondi and taken to Waverley police station and has formerly refused bail at Waverley Local Court on Friday afternoon.
He was brought into the courtroom and appeared dejected, only looking at the magistrate.
Following ballistic analysis, police confirmed it was Constable Lamarre-Condon’s police firearm that was fired at Mr Baird’s Paddington home.
Police seized a white Toyota rental van from a street in Grays Point on Friday afternoon.
