"Wine doesn't get me drunk!"
Stop believing this myth. Here's why- whisky contains roughly 40 percent alcohol by volume. So if you consume a 30 ml peg, it contains 12 ml of pure alcohol or ethanol.
Meanwhile, wine can contain anywhere between 5.5 to 16.5 percent alcohol. So if you have one standard-size serving of wine with 12 percent ABV, which amounts to 150 ml, it contains 18 ml of pure alcohol.
Remember it is a volume game- the more the wine, the more the alcohol.
Here's how you can avoid getting drunk while having wine.
1️⃣Limit yourselves to drinking 1-2 glasses of wine in one evening
2️⃣Sip on water to stay hydrated and refresh your palate
3️⃣Go for wines with lower ABV
4️⃣Line your stomach food
5️⃣Share your wine with friends
