There are many ways to attempt removing a Schrader valve from a valve stem. Two DIY methods that might work if you find yourself without a Schrader valve tool: Find some tweezers, see if those will break it free. Remember, lefty loosey. If you don't have tweezers, try using a keyring bent in the shape shown (somewhat like a skeleton without a chin). This just might help during a trail ride or offroad adventure when you find yourself in the middle of nowhere with just a few things on hand.
