You can't trap groundhogs that are hibernating. If they are under a building taking a nap, you have to take that into consideration. This is not a problem that I run into often. Most people call me when they actually see a groundhog running around on the property and they think that it will cause them some issues. By this time of year, the groundhogs are heading to their burrows and groundhog calls are rare.
I am hoping for an easy resolution for this problem since an active groundhog was spotted on the way over to the job and the groundhog on site was spotted just the day before, but that is certainly not guaranteed. I will have to crawl under this house to see if I can spot anything. When I do I will shoot a little video. Wish me luck.
