Narrated by Golden Globe winner, Brian Cox. Andrew Carnegie began life as a poor Scottish immigrant who sailed to America in the 1840s. By the end of the century he would become the richest man in the world. Not content with creating a steel empire, he wanted to buy peace as Europe headed into World War I. This film tells the story of a man whose visionary dream of a world without conflict ended in tatters and led him to die a broken man.
