日시코쿠 서쪽 해협서 규모 6.6 지진 7명 부상•원전 이상 없어
A magnitude 6-point-6 earthquake hit southern Japan on Wednesday night, off the west coast of Shikoku Island.
According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the earthquake was initially reported as a magnitude 6-point-4 earthquake at a depth of 50 kilometers, but was later corrected to magnitude 6-point-6 with a depth of 39 kilometers.
Local broadcaster NHK reported that seven people were injured.
No abnormalities have been detected at the Ikata Nuclear Plant in western Shikoku.
