After three years, Banksy’s iconic ‘Love in the Bin’ returns to Sotheby’s as part of the Contemporary Art Evening Auction (14 October | London). In this latest video, Sotheby’s Europe Chairman Oliver Barker and Sotheby’s Asia Chairman Alex Branczik reveal how Banksy masterminded an extraordinary act of artistic subterfuge and with a seeming act of destruction, created ‘Love is in the Bin’, which is now one of the most recognised and significant artworks of the early 21st century.
