Poppy the pygmy hippo calf recently got her first taste of swimming. The baby was born at Virginia's Metro Richmond Zoo, in early December. Poppy is part of a very special club. Native to west Africa, pygmy hippos are endangered; it's believed that fewer than 2500 of them live in the wild. The most famous member of the species may be Moo Deng, a calf who's become a social media sensation at a zoo in Thailand.
