Burger Dog Recipe:
2 LB – Ground Beef
8 Pieces – Smoked String Cheese
16 Slice – Bacon, not thick cut
2 TB – The Works Burger Blend
8 – Hot Dog Buns
Ketchup, mustard and pickles for topping
Directions:
1. Portion the ground beef into 8, 4oz portions.
2. Form a portion of meat into a rectangular patty, about 5” X 3”.
3. Season the patty with The Works Burger Blend.
4. Place a piece of string cheese in the patty and wrap the meat around the cheese, sealing all seams.
5. Repeat with the remaining meat and cheese.
6. Wrap each burger-dog with 2 slices of bacon.
7. Preheat grill to 375 degrees, set up for indirect cooking.
8. Place the burger-dogs over indirect heat and cook for 30-45 minutes until the bacon is well rendered. Place over direct heat for 2-3 minutes to crisp up.
9. Place the grilled burger-dogs in hot dog buns and add your favorite burger toppings.
10. Enjoy!
