If you want access to any of the games, you have purchased directly through EA's platform you will need to install the EA App to your Steam Deck. This app will allow you to install any of your previously purchased games without needing to rebuy them through the Steam store.
We get the EA App to run on a Steam Deck by making use of the Proton compatibility layer. This layer enables us to run applications that were only built for Windows on a Linux based operating system like SteamOS.
Setting this app up properly does require a couple of steps but it is more fiddly than complicated.
