1. Flaws: These are imperfections in a diamond. There are two main types:
•Inclusions: Internal imperfections, like tiny crystals or cracks inside the diamond.
•Blemishes: Surface imperfections, such as scratches or chips.
2. Clarity Grades:
•Flawless (FL): No internal or surface flaws. Extremely rare.
•Internally Flawless (IF): No internal flaws, only very tiny surface blemishes.
•Very Very Slightly Included (VVS1 and VVS2): Inclusions are very hard to see under 10x magnification.
•Very Slightly Included (VS1 and VS2): Minor inclusions that are difficult to see under 10x magnification.
•Slightly Included (SI1 and SI2): Noticeable inclusions under 10x magnification, sometimes visible to the naked eye.
•Included (I1, I2, and I3): Obvious inclusions that can be seen with the naked eye, affecting brilliance.
The fewer the flaws, the more brilliant and valuable the diamond.
