You can really use rigatoni, ziti, and penne interchangeably. They are all tube shaped pasta. The major differences are that rigatoni and penne have ridges and ziti does not. Also rigatoni is larger and works best for a thick sauce with meat or vegetables in it. I’ll be sharing recipes on ways to use each of these pasta types.
