So, what exactly is bullet grain?
Grain is the measurement of a bullet's (projectile's) weight, and NOT its size.
1 grain (gr) is 0.0648 grams (g). Because of the different types of materials used in bullets (copper or nickel plating, lead or steel cores, etc) the weights of bullets can vary greatly, and can be surprising when comparing one bullet to another, even if there's a big difference in the size of the bullets themselves.
