A brush fire was reported in Mission Valley near Fashion Valley Mall amid a red flag warning Tuesday afternoon. The fire, dubbed the Friars Fire, was reported at around noon on the 7000 block of Friars Road, a densely populated area of Mission Valley that includes the Fashion Valley Mall. SkyRanger 7 showed a plume of smoke that was visible from Interstate 15.
