To mark the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings, the Catholic and Anglican Churches are joining forces for an ecumenical prayer dedicated to the dead and to peace. This Franco-British celebration is organised by the diocese of Bayeux-Lisieux and the Commonwealth War Graves, with the support of the Bayeux town council and the UK Ministry of Defence. It will be chaired by Mgr Jacques Habert, Bishop of Bayeux. He will be assisted by the Reverend Canon Michael Parker (Chaplain General of the British Army), the Right Reverend Andrew Hillier (Archdeacon, Chaplain of the Royal Navy), and the Right Reverend Dr Giles Legood (Archdeacon, Chief Chaplain of the Royal Air Force). To be followed live from Bayeux Cathedral on Wednesday 5th June at 7pm on KTO.
