The brake lights stayed engaged even though I wasn't pressing the brake pedal. I panicked because yesterday, I was wiring the new park lights. However, the reason behing this issue is because the brake pedal bump stop broke so it wasn't pressing the brake light switch. This is how you can fix it at least until you get the new part.
