This trick really works and gets into all the small details of your sterling silver jewelry and watch cases. Line a glass bowl with aluminum foil, dump in some baking soda and then pour in boiling water. Put in your silver for cleaning and move it around with a PLASTIC fork, knife or spoon. (Don't use a metal utensil, which could mess up the chemical reaction.) Be careful - it's HOT!!!
I left the silver in for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the baking soda stopped fizzing. Remove your silver and rinse with clean tap water, and voila! Sparkly clean silver without scrubbing, buffing and no harsh (or expensive) chemicals!
