Target Motion Analysis (TMA) utilizes observed patterns in lines of sound generated during the use of a ship's passive sonar systems. You can use the TAO Sandbox to experiment with the different Lines of Sound patterns that are generated when the detected sub is traveling at various speeds, distances, and courses relative to your ship.
