I’m showing you the signs that I use and that are native to the area where I live, and the beauty of Sign Language is that there are various ways to express an idea. There can definitely be different signs for the words that I am showing you, and that’s awesome because you are continuing to expand your knowledge of American Sign Language!
I began teaching Sign Language to help disabled individuals to have communication options. I absolutely love Sign Language, and it is my first language. Both of my parents are Deaf, and I am a CODA (child of Deaf adults). My background is in ASL interpreting, and I am a licensed teacher and professional learning specialist working in the field of special education.
