Hiking with a dog is fantastic fun and, despite one or two challenges from time to time, adds a fantastic new dimension to the hiking experience.
New Zealand Huntaways are herding dogs, used for sheep and cattle. Brida came from a farm in Snowdonia where her parents were 100% working dogs and I had the pleasure of watching them move hundreds of sheep down from the mountains.
