Looking to make the perfect sushi rice every time? Make it in a rice cooker! Recipe below.
Recipe:
1 cup sushi rice (do not sub any other kind of rice)
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1 Tablespoon rice vinegar (unseasoned)
1 Tablespoon pure maple syrup
Add rice and water to rice cooker and set to "cook." When the rice is done, stir in salt, rice vinegar and maple syrup.
NOTE: If your rice vinegar is seasoned, omit adding the sea salt and maple syrup.
Once the rice has cooled enough to handle, wet your hands and shape it into whoever form/vessel you'd like for your sushi.
