Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the Philippines, following his surprise visit to the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore. He met his counterpart Ferdinand Marcos Jr, who said the Philippines will be represented at Ukraine's peace summit later this month. Both sides agreed to strengthen bilateral relations, with Kyiv opening its embassy in Manila this year. Mr Marcos also pledged Philippine assistance to help Ukraine end its war against Russia "in any way possible".
