Leg press calf raises are a great calf raise variation, and can be done on the seated leg press machine as shown here, or on the 45 degree leg press machine. Our Personal Trainer demonstrates how to use the leg press machine for calf raises here. 1. Sit down on the leg press machine and place the balls of your feet around shoulder-width apart on the footplate.  2. If you're on the seated leg press machine, adjust the seat so that your legs are straight with knees slightly bent when the plate is at rest. If using the 45 degree leg press, press the plate off the safety bars and extend your legs out, keeping a slight bend to your knees. 3.Squeeze your calf muscles to raise your heels. This will push the plate.  4. Pause when your heels are full raised before slowly lowering them back down and below the platform. 5. Repeat. Find more exercise demonstrations here 👉
