For four decades the Mona Shores High School choir has been spotlighted around the holiday season as they fill a 67-foot tall steel tree, spanning 15 tiers and some 25,000 LED lights. The first performance with the original steel tree was in 1985 at the St. Francis de Sales Church in Norton Shores, in 2006 they moved the production to Frauenthal Center in downtown Muskegon. To ensure the legacy of the tree would continue for years to come, a new 67-foot steel tree was introduced in 2015 to sold-out crowds. (Joel Bissell | MLive.com)
