This video features my parent's backyard in Orlando where they have a 10 year old mango tree planted. They are in Zone 9B. Some tips for planting a mango tree include:
1. Mangoes prefer tropical and subtropical climates with humid, hot summers and cool and dry frost-free winters.
2. When the tree is young, water it regularly.
3. No pruning is usually needed.
4. Mangoes are ready to be picked when the color turns from green to yellow, orange or red.
5. Mango season in Florida is from May thru September.
