A historic flight to the shores of Normandy involving honor eight California World War II veterans for the 80th Anniversary of D-Day was made possible by the You Were Worth IT Foundation.
Actor Dennis Quaid, whose father served in the Merchant Marines during World War II, spoke with KTLA ahead of the veterans' historic trip.
Among the eight veterans joining the trip, five reside in Orange County, two in Los Angeles County and one in San Leandro, California.
