It is known for its beautiful, lush mossy forests. There is an extensive system of trails within the park for hiking. Alouette Lake is a popular spot for swimming, kayaking, picnicing, canoeing, boating and fishing. There are also 3 campsites in the park. Golden Ears Provincial Park is a short drive from Vancouver and located in Maple Ridge. The short and easy Spirea Nature Trail is a family favourite.
