Simple Spiced Caramel Syrup Recipe
I believe that learning to make your own syrups at home is not only satisfying, but also a great way to save quite a lot of money. With the new year in full swing, there’s no better time to try something new! Last week I went over a brown sugar cinnamon syrup and today we’re making spiced caramel. If you like this video and want more syrup recipes like this, consider following and letting me know in the comments what syrup you’d want to see next!
Full Recipe:
- 1 cup sugar (brown)
- 1/4 cup water
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter

Spices (optional, but very tasty IMO)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp cloves
- A tiny pitch of black pepper
Instructions:
1. Melt sugar & water over medium heat until golden. Then add the cinnamon sticks and simmer for 10 minutes
2. Carefully add cream & butter, stirring continuously.
3. Add spices & salt.
4. Enjoy and store in the fridge for about 2 weeks!
