I love papaya & I’ve been wanting to grow a tree in my backyard for quite some time now, so I’m saving these seeds from a store-bought papaya I just cut open. I used a strainer and rubbed the seeds against it so that the coating came off. Then I rinsed off the seeds and poured out the water to remove the coating. I repeated this a few times until all the seeds were clean.
It’s not a must to remove the coating for it to grow, but it definitely helps speed germination, so might as well. I planted one seed about 3 quarters of an inch deep. Three months later, after watering daily & giving it plenty of sunlight, we have a baby papaya plant. Stay tuned & subscribe for more updates!
