Palomita Reposado tequila, Faccia Brutto Aperitivo, dry vermouth, clarified grapefruit cordial, hopped grapefruit bitters Finding ways to use the clarified grapefruit cordial i made a week ago- decided to do a quick riff on the rosita, itself a riff on the negroni. I wanted this to be a little lighter and more citrus forward, so I subbed the grapefruit cordial for the sweet vermouth. Now, because the grapefruit cordial is a bit sweeter than sweet vermouth, i needed to dial down the other sweetener. Typically, Campari is used, but i opted for Faccia Brutto’s Aperitivo, somewhere between Aperol and Campari in both sweetness and bitterness. Finally, wanting to add a bit more grapefruit aroma, added a bit of hopped grapefruit bitters at the end. A refreshing serve for my friend Justin AKA @HungryArtistNY . Thanks for coming by Justin! The specs here are for the Rosita because this was more of a “how do i use up my grapefruit cordial” than a new recipe. For batching: 6 oz reposado tequila 2 oz Campari 2 oz Dry Vermouth 2 oz Sweet Vermouth (subbed with grapefruit cordial) 2 oz water 4 dash angostura bitters (subbed with grapefruit bitters) Combine all ingredients into a vessel and place in fridge freezer.
