Due to its use of a traditional horn mouthpiece, the Frumpet has a slightly different sound from the typical marching mellophone. The Frumpet sounds softer and tubbier when played lightly, although if you push it to its limits on the marching field, it can wail pretty loudly. Unfortunately no demo of the upper extreme here. Maybe another time.
