Good Times celebrated 50 years this year; we love the Evans family more than anything. However, there were a lot of changes happening on-screen and off-screen. Esther Rolle left a little bit after John Amos because the series decided to highlight Jimmie Walker's character, J.J. Evans. There were rumors that Rolle loathed Walker because of his increased screen time, but that's far from the truth.
