📌 Banana Cake:
🥄 Wet Ingredients
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
¼ cup vegetable oil
1 cup granulated sugar
½ cup light brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
¾ cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ½ cups mashed bananas (about 2-3 ripe bananas)
🥄 Dry Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon cinnamon
🔹 How to Make It:
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 13×9 inch baking pan.
2️⃣ Cream together butter, sugar, & brown sugar until light & fluffy. Add oil & mix.
3️⃣ Beat in eggs, then mix in bananas, vanilla, & sour cream.
4️⃣ In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, & salt.
5️⃣ Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Don’t overmix!
6️⃣ Pour into pan & bake for 45-50 min (until a toothpick comes out clean).
7️⃣ Let cool completely before frosting.
📌 Cream Cheese Frosting:
8 oz cream cheese, softened
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
2 & ⅔ cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-2 tbsp milk or heavy cream (as needed)
🔹 How to Make It:
1️⃣ Beat cream cheese & butter until smooth.
2️⃣ Gradually add powdered sugar & mix well.
3️⃣ Add vanilla extract & adjust consistency with milk/heavy cream if needed.
4️⃣ Spread frosting over cooled cake, top with chopped walnuts, slice & enjoy!
