The U.S. Department of Energy’s Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory is tackling some of the world’s toughest science and technology challenges using plasma, the fourth state of matter. This ionized gas makes up 99% of the visible universe and shows up in daily life in the form of lightning, neon lights, and more. It also has unique applications for clean energy, the semiconductor industry, and sustainable manufacturing. This video features Arturo Dominguez, head of science education, and Frances Kraus, X-Ray spectroscopist and staff research physicist, both from PPPL.
