The skies over Philadelphia International Airport have taken "Christmas in July" to a whole new level. The National Weather Service announced this morning that it measured a record snowfall at the airport on Sunday, July 14—while the area was experiencing excessive heat with temperatures peaking in the 90s. Thunderstorms moving through the area produced small hail, which counts as a "trace" of snow in NWS's climate reports since hail is frozen precipitation. Read more here:
