In this video, I will be showing you how I keep my mango tree small and productive. The previous short showed the amount of mangoes this tree can produce (short: and this short will show you how I maintain its size without sacrificing too much fruit.
One important take away message here is that mangoes are tip flowerers, which means the inflorescence is produced at the tips of new growth, so it's important to make sure you do not prune off the last flush of growth. I have timed my pruning in this video such that only one flush of growth is produced after I have pruned the tree to ensure that the tree remains at a manageable size, and it is able to flower in the following season.
