In 2007, Adelaide’s best-known brothel hit the market, with Madam Stormy Summers selling the Waymouth Street address for almost $3 million.
It was described as a “dignified end” to the dramatic decline of the landmark brothel, following a bitter feud between Summers and her landlord over unpaid rent.
At the time, Summer and her then-husband Mark Garner had defied multiple deadlines to move out, twice ending in violent stand-offs with police.
