Shailene Woodley is getting candid about an illness that took a toll on her physical and mental health and impacted her career. In a new cover story with The Hollywood Reporter, “The Last Letter From Your Lover” star is sharing new details about her tumultuous health journey with an unspecified condition, more than a year after she first mentioned it publicly. Shailene told the outlet, “It was pretty debilitating. I said no to a lot of projects, not because I wanted to but because I physically couldn’t participate in them. And I definitely suffered a lot more than I had to because I didn’t take care of myself. The self-inflicted pressure of not wanting to be helped or taken care of created more physical unrest throughout those years.”
