Kharkiv has come under heavy attack again but Russian President Vladimir Putin says instead of capturing Ukraine's second city he wants to establish a buffer zone.
He said Russian forces launched attacks in the region in response to Ukrainian shelling of Russia's Belgorod region.
Also, a purported Ukrainian drone attack has caused a fire at an oil refinery in Krasnodar, Russia.
