We're changing the common name for this milkweed from Swamp to Rose. Besides being a more pretty name, it is to help people understand that this plant is NOT limited to swampy wet areas. While it does thrive in wet environments and looks beautiful on your lakeshore it can as grow just as well in your well-watered pollinator garden!
