Republican Rep. Nancy Mace faced backlash Wednesday during a House Oversight and Government Reform hearing over the use of a transgender slur.
"USAID awarded $2 million to strengthen trans-led organizations to deliver gender-affirming healthcare in Guatemala. So to each of you this morning does this advance the interests of American citizens?" Mace asked the panel during a hearing on Rightsizing government. "Paying for t****** in Guatemala to the tune of $2 million."
