In India they have 3 prong plug outlets, but I'm from America and we use 2 prong plugs. My plug converter wouldn't work either. A kind stranger in India taught me about the pencil trick. I don't recommend using anything metal to do this, and I also do not recommend this method.
This is what I did since I had no other option. If possible, find a proper plug converter that works. Do not try this method yourself.
