You can use this method to add new yarn to your crochet project with most crochet stitches!
Here's how:
Start your stitch, but don't complete it. Stop when you have 2 loops left on your hook. Drop the old yarn, lay the new yarn on your hook, tail facing away from you, and pull through those last 2 loops with the new yarn. For a half double crochet pull the new yarn through all 3 loops on your hook. Tug the old yarn to tighten and secure everything, and continue crocheting with the new yarn.
Use this method at the beginning, middle, or end of a row. This makes for a very clean change over. Hope that's helpful!
