The Highland Fling adult dance competition during the 2019 Kenmore Highland Games in Perthshire, Scotland. This Scottish Highland Dance is probably the most famous of all Highland dances, which requires endurance and strength. Believed to have evolved in the 1790s based on the rearing of stags, it is danced on the spot as clansmen originally danced this on their targes, studded shields.
Kenmore HIghland Games, held on the first Wednesday in July each year, is the only evening Highland Games in Scotland and is set in a beautiful location by Loch Tay in Perthshire.
