Plenty of dogs accompany their humans and enjoy camping, hiking and being in British Columbia’s beautiful outdoors in the summer, where ticks can be picked up. Not all ticks carry lyme disease, but if you think your dog has picked up a tick, taking him to the vet is highly recommended. There are tick pullers available as well, and it is important not to leave any of the tick’s body parts in your pet, as they can cause infection, notes veterinarian Dr. Ben Weinberger in this week’s Tip Tuesday clip.
